Looking for inspiration. I have a few firm go to favourites - spag Bol, chilli, carbonara, jacket spuds, stir fry. Seem to have these on a loop though so want to mix things up and try something new that others recommend

Thanks all. Will be trying these. Made the curry out of the little free magazine I got a week or so ago, was nice. I love curry, will have to try others, is there a slimming world korma recipe does anyone know?
Dollybird99 · 12/01/2016 15:31
We had the cantonese sauce last night with chicken and rice -and it was very nice. Took away the urge for chinese takeaway! Tonight we've got Jamaican Chicken, Sweet potato wedges and salad.
I also like cottage pie, slimming world meatballs with spicy tomato sauce and either rice or pasta.
Slimming world have a chicken korma recipe (www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/creamy-chicken-korma.aspx) but I haven't tried it so don't know what it's like.
Good luck x

Im going to try the wholemeal kingsmill thins(heb) with irish stew tonight, has anybody else tried these?
Hopelass · 12/01/2016 18:42
My mum does "sticky chicken" which I believe is SW.
It's a mixture of equal amounts of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and honey which the cut up chicken breast is cooked in in a wok until the sauce becomes sticky. I take out the chicken once it's cooked so it doesn't over cook, boil the sauce until thickened and add chicken back at the end. Takes about 20 mins.
I like it in pitta with salad but mum has it with rice.

Cowboy pie is a good 'official' SW recipe but my favourite free dinner is gammon, egg, chips and beans! Diet? What diet?
Seashell70 · 12/01/2016 20:00
Full 'English' - bacon without the fat, couple of SW chips, baked beans, mushrooms and scrambled egg.

Only joined last week so will watch this thread with interest! So far I've a SW chilli, spag bol, cottage pie, chicken and mushroom medley, beef in red onion gravy, roast and tonight the BBQ pulled pork. Of all those, by far my favourite has been the pulled pork - delish! Now off to look up some of the others!
