Slimming World
Pregnant and panicking

Hello,
I am a long time fan of alimming. Workd and have lost weight and maintained on the plan before. I am 6 weeks pregnant and ballooning!! I put over 4 stone on with my son and it hurt my back in the pregnancy and it hurt loosing it all when I had him. I am determined to not do it on this one as I find the lack of control of food when I'm pregnant all consuming. I'm looking for support from others maybe in the same position, and can reassure me that all this bloating is normal as I am puffy and huge and 7lbs heavier by the end of the evening already!!

I'm another one in first trimester who is puffy and bloated! Have heard it goes down and quite common, plus we are all a little heavier come evening.
carry on eating right and make sure to have an extra 200-300 calories (up it to 500 in final trimester) as it's important for you and baby. I don't see why you should gain massively if you're eating properly unless perhaps excess water or something.. best chat to midwife about it.
Was you doing sw during your first pregnancy?

I've just had dc2 and tried to follow Sw throughout my pregnancy, kept going to class etc. I put on 2st 11lb in total. Dc2 arrived just before Xmas and at last nights weigh in I'd lost 19lb so I've got 1st 6 to lose before I'm at my pre pregnancy weight.
I really struggled during my first trimester (and my last 6 weeks cos I was fat, fed up and in the end nearly 2 weeks overdue).
It's worth sticking with it though-I'm glad I did as I have a lot less to lose this time. Take it each meal st a time and don't beat yourself up when you go off plan. I did lots of batch cooking do there was always a Sw friendly tea even if I'd fallen off the wagon during the day

Bother posted too soon. I put on 20lb in the first 20 weeks. Some weeks I put on 4 or 5 lb but then the next week id lose. I wouldn't overly worry if you're still eating in a similar way to what you were before you were pregnant.
