How many syns?

So I went to costa for lunch. I chose the lowest calorie thing they had - a ham and egg sandwich. I don't have the phone app, so brought home the packet to check syns. Using the nutritional info on the packet , with free food of egg in the syn calculator it says 5 1/2 syns. I couldn't find the exact sandwich on the syns list, but all the similar ones seem to be between 15-20 syns. So how can there be such a massive discrepancy. I don't get it?

I think you only get a free food allowance if the item is first in the ingredients list. For a sandwich bread would probably be the largest ingredient so you wouldn't get any free food allowance. I would say you would be looking at 15-20 syns depending exactly what was in it. You can deduct 6 syns if made with wholemeal bread and you count that as your B choice.
