So today, I start SW... Again

I joined slimming world about 6 months ago, went for 7 sessions, lost half a stone. Then stopped going, missed a few sessions because of dhs shifts at work and then I was poorly, and then I just kind of fell out of the habit. I've gained a stone, that I know of.

Tonight, I'm rejoining sw as I have a goal to work towards now, I'm going on an 18-30 holiday next September and as it'll be my first and probably my last, I want to go and have a really.good time and not care about how I look because I will know I look good.

I just want to be able to walk into a shop, pick something up and know it'll look alright. Without worrying that it's going to pull on my belly or love handles, or whether my legs will fit into it.

Today, according to my scales at home, I weigh 15st 11lbs. It needs to go.

Will post my weight as of sw tonight.

I just want somewhere to account for everything so I will post my weight here every week, and if anybody would like, please post your own stories, tips, struggles, anything really and come along for the ride!

Well done for making that decision to come back. I find it really helps having the support on here - I'm an online member so don't get the support from a class.

My goals are the same as yours - I want to be able to go into a clothes shop and easily find my size. I started as a size 24, almost a 26. I am now fitting into some size 20 tops, easily fitting into size 22s, and between a 22 and 24 in trousers (22s are slightly too small, 24s are loose!). I got a bit down on the weekend because I went shopping on Oxford Street and couldn't find any clothes that I liked. I was shocked at the lack of plus size departments in their flagship stores!

I've been doing this since April and have lost 2st 5lb so far. I've stalled in the last month losing and gaining the same 0.5lb, but I haven't really been sticking to it 100%. Hoping to get back on track this week though!

Emma thanks for replying Grin thought I was all by myself for a moment...

We'll done you! 2st 5lbs is absolutely amazing. I hope I can do that well.

Have you added exercise into day to day life or not? I know loads of people don't but I think I'm going to try and tone up a bit. I figured if I focus on trying to make myself stronger, everything else will fall into place? That's the theory anyway.

This morning for breakfast, I've had 2x weetabix. Chopped apple and a muller light.

I'm going for a meal tonight, a Thai place. I'm a bit gutted actually as it's the first night I'm back at class tonight but that can be my cheat meal for the week.

I've also ordered a weight tracker plaque thing off ebay to hang in the kitchen, hopefully seeing the lbs lost in front of my face will spur me on to keep going.

I have gone from doing no exercise at all to doing a tap dancing class on Mondays and swimming on Wednesdays, although I have been missing the swimming a lot recently. Wednesdays are the only night that I don't have something I HAVE to go and do, so I often just want to have a night at home. Losing the weight has really improved my fitness so I find it much easier doing simple things like walking. I used to struggle walking up the hill from my office to my car, but now I can do it without any trouble.

I had some mental health issues earlier this year, and increasing my exercise was part of my recovery from that. It does help!

come over to the support thread here - its like "confession" - you tell everyone what you've been eating, the ups and downs, share your struggles, and some recipes and hints on the way.

You can do this - Im down 4 stone since January, there are some other great losers here.

The important thing too is that sometimes you have to draw a line under the bad and get back on plan, and we are getting good at that too!

Thanks Fanny, I'll take a look :)

I can't wait to go back. I really can't.

Hey ravioli welcome backSmile

It's great that you've made the decision to come back, you seemed really motivated last time. You can do it!!! Just think how fab you will feel on your hols.

RavioliOnToast · 15/10/2015 05:28

Hiya buttwing, how are you doing?

I didn't come back last time as was put on happy tablets for pnd, and was really down about everything. I suffered terrible migraines and didn't know what was causing it. Turns out it was my contraceptive pill. I'm a lot more motivated this time for now anyway but for once things seem to be going well. I've got a new job (waiting on a start date), I'm back at college studying accountancy and I've booked a holiday, so things are going well.

I was weighed yesterday and I'm gutted! Sw scales say I'm 16st 1lb. I've set my target at losing a stone first, rather than 5 stone straight away. Think it'll spur me on to have to reduce target sooner.

I'll nip over to the other thread :)
