How do I do this? Thinking about leaving SW

I've been on SW for 10 weeks and lost 7lb in total. Granted I only needed to loose a stone but I am finding it hard to keep motivated when other people are loosing 3-4lbs a week.

I rarely go over my syns, eat lots of fresh fruit and veg, and have alcohol maybe once a month. I was exercising but stopped for a while but am back into it now. I am dairy intolerant and rarely eat wheat so most of the recipes I can't use anyway and I am wondering what is the point.

I have no idea how to move forward with SW. I currently just go to weigh ins then leave as it is totally disheartening. 2 weeks ago I have lost half a stone but I put on a pound so feel my half stone achievement has been a fraud.

How do I shift the weight or rather lose the flab? Should I just buy some scales at home and be done with SW club and just use the book to control what I eat?

I'm really not sure it's working for me

Have you tried the sp plan? It's just speed & protein, syns but no free foods you get 1xa and 2xb

Try not to compare yourself to others. If you only need to lose a stone anyway, you honestly cannot expect to be losing 3-4lbs a week. I would hazard a guess that a lot of people had really bad diets to start with and did no exercise (like me!). So they are going to lose big amounts. That said, losing 3-4lbs per week really isn't good for sustainable weight loss.

Focus on the fact you have lost 7lbs already. Use the principles of SW to adapt your meals to suit you. You don't need to use SW recipes - you can make your own.

I'm similar to you OP. I've lost about 11 pounds in 3-4 months, but I only want to lose about 20 pounds in total if that. I'm a bit stuck at the moment mainly because I've had to eat out a few times over the last couple of weeks and if I'm paying to eat out, I will have something nice - I won't look for the most SW friendly thing on the menu and I will have far too much booze.

And if I'm honest I haven't stuck to the plan 100% I never count milk in tea and coffee for example (only probably have 2 SW portions per week) and I usually have way more syns than the 5-15 a day.

Do you know what it is that is making your weight loss quite slow? Not enough free food (remember that a third should be speed food)? Not weighing your healthy extras? Guessing syns or forgetting about little syns that add up (sauces and dressings for example?)

Agree about not comparing yourself to others - those who are much heavier and probably had a worse diet when they were not slimming will lose more per week. They probably also have a higher chance of regaining afterwards too if they are more likely to be the yo yo dieter type.

Stay to a meeting and try and work out what is slowing your weight loss. May be try to talk to your consultant indivually if you feel embarassed or don't get enough time to talk in the group. But do stay. The clapping and awards might be a bit cheesy, but there are often some good ideas for people that are struggling about sticking to the plan when you come across difficulties.

Good luck!

I'm the same. I have a stone to lose and joined SW about 6 weeks ago. I've lost a grand total of 2lbs.

I always eat between 11 - 15 syns a day. Eat fruit and veg. Drink tons of water and restrict alcohol to friday and saturday nights (but keep it below syn level on those days also). I also exercise twice a week.

Not sure I can be bothered anymore. Thinking of just eating healthy and exercising more.

Plus the recipes are gross.
