So frustrated

After weighing in last week, I only needed to lose 0.8 kg to get my Club 10 award. So this week I ate really well (for the most part) and did more exercise than I have done in a while (walk on Monday, Tuesday & Friday, swimming on Wednesday, lots of walking over the weekend as I was camping), but have somehow put on 1.6 kg!!!

As we were camping in the New Forest this weekend, we did have a couple of "naughty things", but we were so active that it really doesn't make any sense to me that I have gained that much. We had fish & chips on Friday night, but I only ate half the fish and my portion of chips was two-thirds of a kids portion. We did have a pizza for tea last night as we had no other food, but it was an oven one from M&S, so wasn't really greasy. I also had a McFlurry on the way home. Aside from that, my food was on plan the whole week and mostly low syns as I don't tend to eat that many syns anyway. When I was on holiday for a week back in July, I ate way worse than this week and managed to STS. My partner ate the same as me all week, did the same exercise and managed to lose 0.3 kg. He is a lot smaller than me too.

Anyone got any insight for me?

Don't compare yourself to your partner, or anyone else. We are all different.
Higher carb choices, with salt can increase water as can exercise and hormones. Really speaking unless we follow sw to the letter we shouldn't expect it to work. Pizza, fish & chips etc are syns so you'd be surprised or not? on what you might of had.
Draw a line under it and start again. Take your losses over a month eat lots of speed and its a long term thing.x

Well firstly don't compare what how your DP does compared to you...it's infuriating but men use more calories just existing, both me and DP have been doing SW and I have to just ignore the fact that we eat he same food, in fact I cook it all and he'll always lose more than me - or it really really bugs me, lol.

Tbh, that's not a huge gain given that each of those things is over a day's syns each. (Even allowing for it not being a full fish and chips and all pizzas are considerably over 15 syns)

What I find is that sometimes a gain is much bigger than I was expecting, but, the week after I have a much bigger loss too.

I dunno, I just really wasn't expecting it. As I said, I ate a LOT worse than that when I was on holiday and didn't gain. This is the biggest gain I have had since I started in April (I have had a couple of gains, but less than a kilo each). I was actually expecting to lose around that much to be honest. I do wonder if I have retained a bit of water. I also got bitten by an insect on my ankle on Friday and it is all swollen. Particularly annoying when I was so close to my Club 10.

Go right back to basics for this week's.

No prepackaged foods.

Fresh, simple cooked foods. Water.

It will fall off you.

Pizza is an arse. Even the deeply unsatisfying leggera options from Pizza Express(the ssize of one regular slice if you look at it closely), is 20 syns. I did a homemade one where just half of the base was 10 syns - it was the size of half a tea plate.

Anyway, think positive - you've lost almost 10% of your body weight, that makes you much more healthy.

Just thought you might like to know that I lost 2.4kg this week and got my Club 10! I just went back to being good all week, although I did have a cornetto and went to ASK for dinner on Saturday.
