I've just started slimming world.
I'm about 10st and 5ft0 so I have a couple of stone to lose. I'm 20 with a little one, I walk everywhere so I'd say I'm fairly active.

I like to have two bottles of wine a week. I don't eat junk food, wine is my only weakness!!! I never crave a maccies or a chocolate bar but I read somewhere that if you do SW you need to stick to maybe a bottle of week.

When I've had my wine I won't binge eat on unhealthy food I still feel completely under control! If anything I only crave a green tea and a glass of water.

Does alcohol slow weightloss down? I read that one bottle of wine is near 30 syns? I'm willing to give it up if I get to my goal weight but I'm feeling a bit down. I feel like I might have already done damage Blush

Be nice! I'm still trying to wrap my head around all this :( :(

You can have 105 syns a week (that's 15 per day) if you stick to the plan and eat the right food and continue your active lifestyle then you should still lose weight even with the wine. People in my group use all their syns on wine at the weekend and are losing 2/3lbs a week. I've lost 4 and a half stone since I joined in October, I love slimming world! Good luck on your journey!

It should make no difference what you use your syns on as long as you following the plan.

Where people run into issues with alcohol it tends to be because either they underestimate how much they're having...or they're using all their syns on alcohol in one night - you can save your syns and use them all or mostly at once, but for some people that doesn't work.

Well when I wasn't doing SW I never gained after a few wines but I haven't had my first weigh in yet so I'm getting all paranoidShock

I'll see how I go and if I gain even even when I'm eating on plan and saving syns then I'll obviously have to make some changes. Thanks girlsWine
