Alpen bars

Hi all, I just wanted to check with you about alpen bars. It is right than an alpen bar is a healthy extra b or two alpen lights? I have bought some of them today but they have chocolate in so I'm not sure if they are healthy extra b or not as they taste too good! The handbook is a little confusing for heb and cereal bars...

2 x Alpen Lights are a B choice - whatever the flavour Smile

None of the regular Alpen bars are a healthy extra, though - presumably they don't have enough fibre - so you'd need to count them as syns.

Meant to add: I think what you're finding confusing is that an alternative B choice is 1 x Alpen Light (rather than two). This is a 'speed' choice - i.e. it provides enough fibre for your B but with fewer calories, if you want to give your weight loss a boost.

Always seems a bit tragic though to have 1 when you're allowed two Grin

Thank you, that makes sense now. It's the same with ryvitta and I have been thinking how can it be one and also two. Now i know :-) thank you!

The normal ones I bought today are yummy so I will syn them and from now on just buy only the light ones. I enjoy having them with a glass of milk in the evening- oh how that's changed from dairy milk, hagan daz or cakes!! Lol
