What do you put on Scan Bran to make it edible?

When I did SW before I got two A's as a vegy so could use low fat cream cheese, but it's all taken on milk now. I know that Marshmallow Fluff is lovely but that is one of the reasons I'm back at SW Grin I tried marmite and it was disgusting on Scan Bran.

What do you use that can be free or low syn?

Mashed banana?

Am assuming it is a ryvita style thingie!

KatharineClifton · 05/06/2015 23:43

Yes, like Ryvita but a lot harder to eat. Yes, mashed banana might just work, cheers.

Sliced banana and crispy bacon or hot tinned tomatoes and poached egg (I poach the egg in the tomatoes)

Someone at my group called it a scrubber yesterday for her insides. Better than ex-lax she said. Put me right off!

I used to put quark mixed with an options hot chocolate and sweetener on top then sliced strawberries...The only way I could eat them but 5 a day as a HEX did not agree with me on toilet all night

HemlockStarglimmer · 06/06/2015 15:14

Don't mash the banana or you'll have to syn for it. Sliced is fine.

I like Quark on mine, sometimes with Marmite.

Grin Parrish. My first consultant, years ago, called them carpet tiles. They are an acquired taste.

wowfudge · 06/06/2015 15:28

I used to break them up and mix them with weetabix for a more filling breakfast.

DragonWithAGirlTattoo · 19/06/2015 13:59

they're rank!

i tried a scan bran cake and that was revolting too

annielostit · 19/06/2015 17:17

Cheese & jam is yummy.

KatharineClifton · 22/06/2015 18:20

I really like them with cream cheese - Asda do a delish chilli one. But need milk more than cream cheese on plan.
