Diary of a Fat Lass
Colabottle10 · 12/05/2015 08:25
Long time MN lurker, long time Fat Lass.
I've just turned 36. Size 16, on the scales this morning at 15st 6lbs, I'm 5ft 6.
Married 2 years ago - went from 16st 3 to 13st 10 for the wedding with SW, took me around a year to do it.
Last 2 years have been busy running our own business, moving house etc and we all know how easy it is to slip off the wagon.
I'm in 'The Place' now, in my mind that I want to get back into it. Not doing it via a group - no groups near me (v rural), but have joined online and have all the books and the previous knowledge.
Doing the GNR in Sept for the second time - been running again for the last 2 weeks, so already feeling better.
Horse off games as having a foal.
Fed up of:
Feeling exhausted all the time
Thighs rubbing together!
Clothes feeling tight
Wobbling!
Sore knees
Bad breathing
Want to:
Have babies in the near future and be a fit mum.
Plan for the week. Study the books again, do a SW friendly food shop, get back into cooking meals again, make time for ME!
Wish this fat lass luck.

Good luck - sounds as if you have good reasons to motivate yourself. A friend and I are aiming to lose a stone each by 2nd July - do you think you could do that?
Colabottle10 · 12/05/2015 08:34
Hi Eastpoint - that's a good aim, a stone in 7 weeks is easily doable at 2lbs a week. July 2nd is my OH's 40th so another good aim!
I will mark it on my calendar.
Are you just starting your SW journey or are you a seasoned pro?
Eastpoint · 12/05/2015 08:37
I'm neither, we aren't doing SW, your post came up in Active Threads and I wanted to support you. We are doing 5:2 (I suspect my friend more successfully than me but I'll still lose weight).

Hi, you sound similar to me - I am a tad older at 38, 5 ft 6 and with 3 stone to lose. I started SW 4 weeks ago and so far am down 12.5lbs. I am surprised at how much I'm enjoying cooking from scratch again and definitely feel in the right zone for this after piling on 3 stones over the last 3 years! Good luck Colabottle -We can do this :)

Good luck, I'm on day 5 of doing SW for the first time. I'm overseas so I'm also doing it online. I'm really craving chocolate and sweet things but fruit really doesn't hit the spot! If you find any good sweet alternatives let me know
Colabottle10 · 14/05/2015 08:21
Hi everyone - today is day 3. Day 1 went well and I was well under my sun values. Yesterday wasn't so good - cake at work for a celebration and I had a slice, and some jelly beans for a sugar hit when I got home. I am addicted to sugar definitely!
Planning ahead is the simple key to success with SW I find. I haven't done that this week and it does make things harder. I'm struggling with lunches to take to work. I need to get some SW quiche made up.
As for the chocolate / sweet fix, the freezer is your friend. Buy mini snack bars and freeze them. I have a pack of milky ways in my freezer, the small ones, and when I need a fix, or as a pudding after dinner, a frozen bar takes longer to eat and is more satisfying. Also, Fab lollies are only 4 syns, so I've a pack of them in.
12.5lbs in 3 weeks is amazing Norman, well done you!
