Spag Bol - 1/3 speed?

So Aldi are now doing 5% fat mince and I'm planning on making spag bol for tomorrow, I'll grate a couple of carrots into it and there'll also be onion, mushrooms and tinned tomatoes but how on earth do I know if its 1/3 speed veg or not?
I'd love to eat it with a free conscience but I can't help but feel it'll be 'wrong'. I really don't want to try and eat a salad with it or even before it - what do you do those of you who've been doing it longer than me?

I would do the same as you....mushrooms, garlic, onions, tomatoes, carrots....that'd do it for me!

1/3 speed is in there, it doesn't always work adding extra to the plate. If it makes you feel better have a salad with it.Smile

I usually put diced celery in mine too, but SW say to have 1/3 speed 'where it makes sense', so you don't always have to have it. Sometimes I have a salad with a pasta dish though, if I'm feeling like my halo is polished...

I would usually do a salad on the side. But I think a nice green salad goes really well with spag bol. Or one with sliced tomatoes and onions, with a dressing made of balsamic vinegar and some sprays of the Filipio Berrio olive oil (I cannot remember the syns in the spray off the top of my head, maybe 1 or 1.5 for 7 sprays) it gives you a proper olive oil taste without glugging it on.
