Actifry on slimming world

Does anybody have one of these and what are the chips etc like. Can you just use 1tsp of oil and has the machine been value for money?

Watching with interest as I've been thinking the same this week.

I have an actifry.

Yes to just one spoon of oil (approx a tablespoon I'd say) and the chips are good - better if you slightly overdo the oil (and I do mean just slightly - don't need gallons extra).

Value for money? Probably not, but I bought one when ds was refusing all other food (fussy toddler) other than chips and so it fulfilled utilities for me!

Southern fried chicken is nice in here, tweeked with Cous Cous & smash coating. As is fish. Remove the paddle for these. sausage, roast veg are OK too.
I use frylight with mine. Spray the food in a bowl then transfer, wash as soon as you can, I find it makes a sticky film on the cooking bowl.
I'm on actifry #2.

Someone bought in their actifry and made us all chips to try, they where very nice but not that much difference between doing them in there or or oven IMO.
She also uses water not oil to keep everything syn free!

I love my actifry, had it about four years now. It makes lovely crispy chips, I soak my chips in water for at least an hour, rinse them in cold water. Dry with a tea towel and just use a teaspoon of olive oil in the actifry.

I have just got an ActiFry and have no idea where to start.. any tips or don’t do,s? Also I’ve heard you mention a paddle? Is that the middle piece that turns the food? Can you take it out? Thanks guys x

Love my actifry! Yes the paddle comes out I take it out for squishy things that would end up being mashed
