Yes I've known it happen to a fellow member before and even known of a gain! Stick with it and follow plan 100% and you should see a good loss next week. Sometimes it takes the body a while to adjust!

I very rarely use my syns and if I do I just have a 'flexible day' where I have a meal out at the weekend and just have what I want. If I do use some daily then I might just have a couple for an options not chocolate or something. As long as I stick to plan, I always get good losses.

One of my friends rejoined SW after having her baby. She knew the plan inside out and was horrified when she gained half a pound in the first week. She couldn't understand why. She lost 6lb the next week and is now over 3 stone lighter. So don't give up! Maybe it's just your body adjusting?

This has just happened to me, lost nothing in the first week, 2lbs loss in the second. This is my second time doing SW and the first time I lost 6lbs the first week. Advice from consultant was to drink as much water as possible and up my vegetable and fruit intake.

I don't use many syns either but, if you are going hungry rather than eating something with syns, it's better to eat. SW is very low fat and can be very low cal if you are not eating huge portions. This can cause your metabolism to slow (body thinks you are starving!). Much better to eat a bit more to keep your metabolism up and drink plenty!

And as my consultant said, your body doesn't know that it is weigh in day. You can have lost nothing one day and weigh yourself the next and be down a few pounds. It's quite normal not to lose some weeks. Good luck!

Eating more syns won't make you lose more weight, you're eating more calories. The syns are there so that if you do eat something you don't feel guilty you can just count it in or it's a part of your meal.
