Just wondering what recipes do you keep going back to?

I liked the spag Bol and the diet coke chicken went down very well in this house but the chicken tikka from the fakeaways book wasn't great.

Id like to have a bank of good recipes that I can pull from. What do you keep going back to?

I loved the chicken jalfrezi recipe for a good curry fix :)
Hubby liked the pulled pork, although he added extra bbq sauce.

We are a massive fan on the SW Katsu curry recipe, it is in their website. I can't recommend it enough.

Brilliant! Keep them coming!!

Salt and pepper chicken ....

Also a really quick pasta stir through....I pretend it's pesto....

A tablespoon of balsamic and a tablespoon of tomato purée mix together and stir through....chop a baby belle into tiny pieces pop that in and then cover with sf mangetout and mushroom and peppers.

Spaghetti carbonara - very lightly cooked eggs, broccoli and cherry tom pasta bake - yummy, mushy pea curry.

Imscarlet · 21/01/2015 07:58

I really like the butternut squash soup recipe too!

Meatball pasta bake is a variation on the spag bol. Make the mince into meatballs and grill. Make the tomato sauce as usual and add cooked pasta and meatballs to it then put in a dish in the oven for 20 mins. You can put cheese on the top using your hea or syn it.
Other favourites are beef in black bean sauce, chicken curry, carbonara, burgers.

I did the bolognese pasta bake last night and it was fine but not fabulous. I had a steak dinner at the weekend with roasted veg and SW chips and that was LOVELY!!

I love the mince beef hash and also the quick chicken curry with spinach and tomato.

I do a pretty mean chicken pasta bake too. And beef stir fry. Kids like steak with SW chips, mushrooms and tomatoes or turkey escalopes wrapped in bacon with mash and green beans

A classic chicken curry in my oh favourite, better than takeaway????

Seems lots of ingredients but worth it.
2lb boneless chicken thighs
Salt & pepper

1 onion
2 teaspoons ginger
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 teaspoon of each
Cumin
Corriander
Cinnamon
Paprika
1tablespoon curry powder
¼ teaspoon tumeric
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 chicken stock cube.
1 cup water.

Season the chicken & fry gently in fry light.
Remove add onions & soften add garlic ginger & spice powders. Cook gently for 2-3 minutes.
Add the chicken stir well, add tomatoes water & stock cube.
Simmer for 30-40 minutes.
Check salt & pepper taste.
Add some fresh chopped coriander & fresh chillis to serve

What's the salt and pepper chicken?

I love the SW Food, Fabulous Food recipe book - proper comfort foods. I like sweet corn fritters for snacks, and can also recommend the katsu curry, it's delicious!

annielostit · 29/01/2015 09:29

Found the katsu curry I'm going to have it at our weekly romantic meal for 2.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 29/01/2015 20:36

I'm always put off by such a long lost of ingredients! Need to get over that and just order them and try it!

Imscarlet · 30/01/2015 20:45

I did the chicken with smash batter tonight, it was lovey!
