I am sick of eating less and less to get any weight loss. it isn't sustainable. ds was born 2 years ago and I keep hovering between 11st and 10st 4 but just can't get below that. am 10 8 now, an 8lb loss would be great, 10 would be fantastic. sick of feeling like a frump and worried my max weight will just keep going up if I don't make an effort now.
I am a good cook and love fruit and veg. downfall probably wanting treats at weekends/portion control. would sw work for me? also should I join properly or can I wing it on here?

SW really is for anyone who needs/wants to lose 7lb or more. I think it would work but would take longer to lose that 10lb than someone who had more to lose. So I lost 10lb in two weeks but had 5st to go. With SW you change your eating habits and then can introduce extras at weekends as you see fit. A couple of months at most100% would get you that 10 lb then you stick to the SW way for the week and have your weekend treats to 'maintain'

As for joining a group, I couldn't have started and to be honest couldn't even now not go to group. Within the first few days I totally understood the plan, but for me sticking to it is down to going to group. You may be different but I'd still try a few to start with, just to get all the info. And remember once you are at your target you don't pay and only have to go once a month to get weighed and I think that helps people stick with it. You can get lots of help on here and Facebook etc, but being a member of a few groups on Facebook made me realise there's a fair few people who don't really understand the plan and you can get duff advice. On here is different as people do get it! Smile

Thanks storminabuttercup. I think I might give the 7 day plan on the website a go while my husband is away for a week. Just making a list of everything I need to buy! I think I might have to duplicate a day or two of the menu to avoid waste. Am I right in thinking you can't mix and match meals from different days?

That's right. If you do EE, green or red you do it for the whole day! Good luck!

I think it would work for you, especially as you say you are a good cook.

You could also buy the magazine and that would give you lots of ideas and more-or-less explain the Extra Easy plan.
