Slow cooker beef stew recipe?

I'm trying to make a really tasty beef stew in my slow cooker with minimal syns want to save them for the wine I could use a Schwartz beef and ale packet which is 5 syns but before I give in does anyone have a really tasty recipe?

You can make it syn free or add a bit of red wine and syn it.

I use:
Beef
Carrots
Swede
Onions
Beef oxo cubes to make stock
Dash if Worcester sauce
Tomatoe purée
Soup/stew mix or pearl barely
Good handful of red lentils to thicken the sauce
Bay leaves
Black pepper.

I've never tried it but heard smash (fake potato stuff) works well. I usually use lentils, pearl barley or a couple of teaspoons of flour (2syns) plus lots of herbs, spoon of marmite, Worcestershire sauce & if I've got a bottle open a dash of red wine.
