Stopped losing

Could someone critique my food diary. I have been following the plan for 9 weeks but this last three weeks I have lost nothing!!! I am breastfeeding, though baby is weaning.

My BMI is 24 and I am aiming for 22, so I am trying to lose the last 12lbs. I am following EE.

Typically, this is what I eat

B'fast - (My biggest meal of the day) 4 egg omelette, whole small onion, HexA cheese and half tin beans

Lunch - 4 ryvita HexB with marmite, banana

Dinner - Salad filling half the plate, 4/5 new potatoes, either small chicken breast or tin tuna. Fat free dressing or soya sauce used

Snacks - whole 500ml tub fat free yog (I eat this as its calcium for breastfeeding)

Syns - usually chocolate and I normally use all 15 syns

I am boring and often eat the same thing nearly every day. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I wonder if it's the yoghurt. You should be having 1/3 superfree with it to make it on plan, so have it mixed with some fruit which will be more filling and you'll probably end up having less. Not sure if that would be a problem for you because of breastfeeding.

Maybe you could swap your lunch for a big portion of fruit and yoghurt and a salad and that would leave you with your hexb to use on a couple of hifi Rocky road bars as snacks which might satisfy your chocolate needs so you could cut back your syns a bit.

Oh, and maybe up the superfree a bit a breakfast. You could add tomatoes and mushrooms, might make it filling enough to reduce the egg a bit.

I would look at adding some more speed or super speed foods to your diet and dropping syns to 10 a day and see how you get on.

If I reduce the eggs to 2 and add mushrooms and not eat the beans for breakfast, plus cut out the yoghurt or eat just a small pot would that help?

I was under the impression you should always use your syns??

Thanks for everyone's input!!

I think you need more fruit & veg in your diet. Breakfast drop to 3 eggs but add superfree veg like peppers, asparagus, courgettes, tomatoes and lunch swop a banana for berries, melon, pineapple etc. have your banana as a snack instead of so much yogurt.

What about milk for tea/coffee?

randomer · 16/07/2014 19:58

you are the right bmi and you are doing an incredible job nurturing a baby.......maybe cut yourself some slack?

greensnail · 16/07/2014 20:42

They say 5-15 syns per day, I probably average about 10 per day.

Colchestergal · 16/07/2014 20:58

How is this for tomorrow?

B'fast - fry light fried egg, mushrooms, half tin beans

Lunch - salad with tuna and soy sauce

Dinner - veg chilli (pulses, tomatoes, carrot, celery, spices) with plain rice with sprinkle of cheese

Syns - kitkat chunky
Milk in tea/coffee

Randomer - I hate the size I am and it aggravates my PND. Getting back to my pre preg weight will put a bounce back into my step!!!

Sounds good to me. There's no heb there so you've got the option to snack on something for that choice. Good luck!
