Can't believe I've actually lost this much weight in just over 3 months so hoping this will inspire people to carry on with SW as it has been an absolute revelation to me. I've still got another 20lbs to get to target but I've no doubt I'll get there before my holiday at the end of August and this is the first time I've ever properly lost weight and actually feel like I'm going to keep it off Grin.

More than happy to offer any help, suggestions or support for those of you struggling or just starting out as I really feel I've got my head around not only the SW plan but food & past over-eating generally.

Wow that's brilliant! Well done!

RedorBlack · 10/06/2014 14:20

Well done! You'll definitely get there before your hols Smile

well done! slimming world is great and doesn't feel like a diet at all! I have lost 15lbs in 7 weeks and have eaten so much food!

Greenrememberedhills · 15/06/2014 19:48

How did you do it? Apart from following the plan.

I've been on SW for 8 weeks and lost 6lb only so I'm pretty fed up.

I did lose a heap years ago but on original/green.

I'm not sure whether extra easy us the issue or my increasing age (53).

Greenrememberedhills · 15/06/2014 19:49

And really well done, by the way.

Thanks Smile. Green I've been really strict about 1/3 of my plate being superfree and this has definitely been a massive help in curbing portion sizes of synned food & free food. So breakfast might be scrambled eggs & grilled bacon medallions but I'll have mushrooms & tomato n the side, jacket potato & beans with large side salad, evening meals always pile on the veg first then I less room/temptation for the other stuff. I also don't really use my syns except for going out which means I can have a guilt free evening with careful but not rigid choices (gin & slimline rather than wine or beer, and I'll eat a steak & chips but take the fat off & ask for a side portion of veg without butter or undressed salad.

I use my HEA for milk for tea & coffee & HEB is nearly always reserved for a sweet snack either mid afternoon or after dinner (alpen light or hi fi rocky road) or take with me if I'm going out for coffee. I do eat a fair bit of fruit now but try & limit bananas to once a day & don't go mad on carbs (I eat pasta & rice but have a normal portion not massive one as I have veg/salad to fill me up) & only have bread 2 or 3 slices of bread a week as opposed to toast for breakfast / sandwich for lunch.

That's amazing, well done. I lost a heap with WW last year, but have gone back to work and it's crept back on. Am thinking about starting SW as there are meetings seconds away from my house. Just need to get on it!!Shock

eandh · 28/06/2014 22:43

I am on week 7 and lost 17.5lb agree that 1/3 super free is the key for me. So many friends and family joining now too! I have another 3 stone to lose yet but on my way x

Katiekins90 · 29/06/2014 14:20

Well done on your loss! I'm on week four 7 and a half pound down.

I was just wondering when would you say you noticed a difference in your self? I know I've lost half a stone from the scales but looking in the mirror I have no idea where from as I feel apart from being less bloated on my stomach I look exactly the same!

eandh · 29/06/2014 20:34

I would say between 12-14lb clothes were def getting loser. Last week or so people have asked what's different about me (it's probably a mixture of weight loss in face, had my hair lightened plus caught some sun whilst gardening)

Went to hen night Friday and where I can't see my weight loss in mirror I could see it on the photos x

PhoebeMcPeePee · 02/07/2014 13:00

I agree when you hit a stone you can feel the difference in clothes & by 1.5 people started commenting.

Wow this is absloutley fantastic! I started again a few weeks ago, I have an awful lot of weight to lose that I have been struggling with for years.... however a medical condition is now meaning that I have to get on track and stop messing.
Your story has totally motivated me. I went back last night after a rough week last week and lost 4lbs so was super impressed. I really hope to follow in your footsteps xx

PhoebeMcPeePee · 15/09/2014 22:39

Wow fantastic well done Grin I'm down 36lbs now despite taking a break during summer holidays so it's definitely working. Here's to another good week for both of us Wine

well done to you all, fab to read. I started 2 weeks ago and lost 1lb each week, so not great and quite disappointing, weigh in tonight but I know it wont be good as due on so very bloated and feel 'fat' anyone who what I mean?!

Kim82 · 17/09/2014 14:27

I've been going for 2 weeks, lost 5lb the first week and put 1lb on the second week - that'll be the BBQ, beer and cocktails! I'm back on track this week though and am going for a 2lb loss this week. I have 35lb to lose in total and if I lose 2lb a week between now and Xmas then I'm only 5lb off target! Grin

MABS · 17/09/2014 15:06

That is great Kim , well done! I have a bad feeling about today's weigh in :(
