Slimming World

Is it likely that SW might work for me?

I don't like bananas nor yoghurt filled with shite and I keep seeing mullerlight mentioned

My problem is I mostly eat bread. And no veg and so I'm fat. And I'm greedy too and eat all the kids leftovers

I'm very short on time (full time job, 2 small dc, studying too) so run out of time to cook healthy balanced meals

I am even shorter on willpower and usually stick to things (Lo carb / 5:2 / couch25k etc) for about a week before giving up

Might it work?

it will work if you put the effort in. it's meant to be a new way of eating and not a quick fix. you will need to cut down on bread and eat more fruit and Veg but as diets go it's good. i have lost 9lbs in 4 weeks and have 2 small kids at home so don't have the most time. i do eat a lot of bananas and yogurt though Grin

I've only done one week but I'm avoiding mullerlights and frylight etc, just having small amounts of normal oils etc.

It's quite a clever diet because it claims you can eat loads but it does restrict you in terms of bread and processed food and encourages you to eat fruit & veg.

I have a rolling meal plan already so have just adapted that. I think you do need to be organised as anything not home made has to be counted. Lunch is often my downfall so I'm trying to make extra dinner to take in or preparing salad the night before.

what are you like with pasta, potatoes, beans, bologneise?
Its a great diet for people like me who need to know that they can always have something to eat!!
If you chose your healthy extras you can have bread everyday.
I have 4dcs at home, work full time 2 jobs, and still have time to cook the recipes most days. If not then roast chicken and potates/rice/pasta and veg fit in with the plan so i do that a lot.
