I'm starting over after losing 7 stones and regaining 5.5 of them. Has anyone experienced anything similar and what was your mindset? How do you stop yourself looking backwards?

yes - lost 2.7 stone and have regained that and an extra 2 :-( so depressing seeing those same numbers on the scales.
My mindset is 4 stone in 4 months - and even if i "only" lose 2 stone in that time I will be pleased!

Hiya all .. sympathies... I also lost a lot of weight and have put a lot back on ... hence needing SW again! The hardest thing is NOT kicking yourself for it.

It's taken me years to put it all back on and I keep thinking WHY did I let myself do it??? HOW could I not see what was happening?

Reminding myself that of the 5.5 stone I lost I only gained back 2.5 still doesn;t help! And I just can't seem to get the hang of SW again this time round. Esp the EXtra Easy plan.

Hello. I'm starting again today .. I know it will be tough but I'm commited to try for myself. I don't want to be a fat mummy. I don't want the aching joints I have now .. I want to loose 20kg.. So back to 80kg. No I won't be super slim but I'd've happier there! That's my pre pregnant weight. 4 babies on its time to get rid!
I tried a while ago and was out off by a die hard sw person who basically told me I was doing it all wrong and rubbish!
I struggle a bit as we are in aus. So I can't find quark.. We butcher our own beef so it's lean.
Still I'm off to try again ??

I'll join you. I started back in October and lost 12 lbs. The Christmas hit and I put 10 of them back on.....It's taken me ages to get back into it. I've still been going every week and yo-yoing contstantly. 2 weeks ago I had a wardrobe sort out and found 15 pairs of trousers I couldn't get into that I had shoved to the back and forgotten about. Tbh it was the wake up call I needed and I have tried really hard since then. Last week I lost 2.5lbs so I had a good start. My weigh-in is tomorrow so I hope to have lost at least another 2 this week. We are camping later in the week and that is going to be really hard but I will give it my best shot!

lost 11 lbs in 3 weeks - how is everyone esle doing?

I started doing SW again a couple of months ago. The first time around I was quite motivated but struggled to control my Syns (very sweet tooth) but even though I sometimes had 20 syns a day I still managed to shift 16 pounds in 10 weeks. Then a few family problems came along and I put most of the weight back on (comfort eating).

This time around I've lost 10 pounds in about 10 weeks, but have been allowing myself around 25 syns a day, rather than aiming for 15 which I found unsustainable. I do go for a long walk, involving several hills, every day though, so maybe that's why I'm still able to lose weight even though I don't keep to the syns limit. People say that it's better to lose the weight slowly anyway, as losing weight quickly can slow your metabolism down (body goes into "famine mode" apparently).

I think it's harder to be as driven and motivated the second time around (no novelty value), but by tailoring the syns level to suit my cravings I'm hopeful I can get the weight off again, without feeling deprived.

I joined again a month ago. Lost 2 stone when I came before about 10 years ago. Now have that to lose plus another 2 stone! Still in red/green day mode so taken me a while to get my head around Extra Easy. Lost 8lbs the first week so that was a great boost though it's a bit slower now. I think I am more motivated now as I want to be healthy and active and around as long as possible for my dd.
