i always have a store of activia yoghurts and fruit to snack on they are great.
Make sure you are eating all the free foods so you are eating enough.
Also strat the day with bacon eggs and beans - good filler- then 11am yog and fruit.
And water water water!

Protein is filling, so I boil up a whole box of 12 eggs on a Monday, this means DP and I have snacks to hand that are free.

I also make free hummus slimming world style and make sure I pre chop carrot, cucumber and pepper batons, I also make a big fruit salad and keep in in an air tight container in the fridge to have with a Muller light for breakfast or a snack.

You can do it, you've already said you've lost weight with it, do you go to a group? It's a big boost to go and have your heard work acknowledged every week imo.

If you want a buddy I'm happy to do that, I started back 2 weeks ago, I once lost 3 stone but then had another child and a long, unpleasant illness and gained 2 back, I'm 7lbs down after 2 weeks though and keen to keep going. Smile

tits can you post the hummus recipe please?

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/05/2014 13:03

There are loads out there, but I use this one, it's not as nice as regular hummus but it fills the gap and isn't unpleasant.

1 tin of Chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
Splash of lemon juice
Add 2 tbsp water
Salt and pepper

Whizz it all up and add more liquid to loosen if necessary (i find the water from the tin of chickpeas works well) or you can use a tbsp of fat free fromage frais.

You can add roasted peppers, coriander, peas, basil to it to make different flavours. I like to experiment :)

thank you Smile

thank you! forgot to say though, i hate any kind of eggs, very annoying because they are such a easy filling food.

its got to the point where i am seriously considering sticking a photo of me in my underwear on the fridge.. but that might scare any guests away Grin

how do you satisfy any sweet cravings? i eat out of boredom.

i dont go to group because im terrified of her reading out how much ive gained/lost. also she always asks how youve got on or something similar and i hate speaking in front of a group of people

There are a few in our group who don't get read out, you just speak to the consultant beforehand and tell her/him that!

It's obviously up to you but I find when I do it at home, I cheat because no one will know Blush

Do you like seafood sticks? They're free. Roast a chicken and chunk it up to nibble on. Lots of quick snacks.

For sweet things I use my heathy b choice on an Allen light or the new alternative since they stopped being sing world friendly. Muller lights are sweet, the new coconut one tastes like Malibu!

I have an acrifry and I use fry light so I can make free chips easier to have with a fried egg and beans. It doesn't feel like a diet then.

If I bored I find something to do! Knit, walk, read, watch tv. Smile

My advice would be always be prepared, know what events u have planned and make sure u have something planned that suits. So if ure busy make sure u have already prepared dinner or planned something that's quick and easy.

Sit down and do a whole weeks meal plan- including snacks or at least allowances for them so u don't go over syns.

I would ask sw lady not to read mine out but still make a point of going, knowing someone else will be writing down your weight each week is half the motivation!

Good luck and congratulations, just stick at it :)
