Slimming World
no energy for a shag
sheriffofnottingham · 18/03/2014 15:14
Hi,
I attend SW classes and am doing very well, this is largely due to me going to the gym a lot (which I really enjoy) trouble is I find I'm too tired in the evening after I've been at work all day and then been to the gym to hop on the good foot and do the bad thing as it were. Could do with some quick energy release food I can use to pep me up in the evenings after I've been to the gym that are SW compliant - any ideas?
(I would feel a bit of a prat bringing this up in our classes as I go to the same class as my brother and SIL )

Slightly personal question, sorry. Do you actually want To shag, or is that you feel somehow that you should be shagging?

the mind is willing but the body is weak. I guess it's not just that but I find generally I'm really tired. I wonder if I'm not eating enough but I don't really know what to eat more of to get my energy levels back up but without overdoing the calories

I guess I just find it most noticeable in relation to 'relations' as it's that which is being affected most (ie it's the only thing I might do in the evening that requires any amount of energy)

I eat avocado for energy. No idea if this is good for sw though

I saw this in 'Active' and though I know nothing about SW (so ignore me if this is irrelevant), I thought it might be worth saying that being tired all the time can indicate low iron. A supplement such as Floradix can be really helpful.

hadn't thought of that meditrina good point. I might not be getting enough iron now I've changed my diet.

Does sound like you might not be eating enough if you are genérally tired. Are you sleeping okay? I wake up in the Middle of the night when I haven't eaten properly. I don't actually feel hungry then but I know it's lack of food.
Things that work for me, although I don't know what SW says about them, is nuts, things made from corn like crackers or just a corn on the cob, avocado, proteÃna, fish, Chicken etc and lot's of veg.
Hopefully someone moré clued up on SW will be along soon.
