Slimming World
How much do you loose on SW?
BumPop · 04/12/2013 21:15
I am looking to start slimming world, but am being a little hesitant as the weekly losses seem quite low compared to other diets. I have about 4 stone to loose and am hoping for a 2lb a week loss. Is that realistic?
I really want a proper lifestyle change rather than another fad diet. However I am worried about becoming disillusioned with 0.5lb a week.
Inspire me please!

Absolutely realistic if you follow the plan properly. A great diet for anyone who is good at/enjoys cooking/planning meals. Useless for people like me who are not! Certainly not a fad diet I have many friends who have lost weight on this plan and kept it off.

I have lost just over 20lb in 10 weeks. Not hard to stick to - can still have a gin or two! I am not a great cook but you do need to be organised and plan so that you have 'free food' readily available.
Good luck!

I lost 5 stone between mid January and mid September, 2 pounds a week was my average. It is definitely doable.
Steffanoid · 05/12/2013 08:17
ive lost 1st 9lb in 7 weeks. totally doable especially cause thats with a few cheeky curly wurlys
WheresMyCow · 05/12/2013 08:23
Definitely do-able.
I only had 1.5 stone to lose, but I averaged 2lb per week when I first started. It is a lifestyle change, not a diet - as our consultant said, on a diet you always think dare I eat this, with SW you can eat virtually anything.
I love it

I've lost 2 stones in 14 weeks. I'm only 5'3" and that's all I wanted to loose. Any more and my face wouldn't handle it well! It's SO brilliant. One of the biggest traps that people fall into is having a massive binge after you've been weighed - BIG MISTAKE. As with any 'diet' every single mouthful counts. As long as you don't fool yourself and stick with it, it's brilliant. I have a friend in class who's lost around 5 and a half stone since January and is now like a different person - so much more confidence and enjoying running and stuff too. The transformation of many people is the best thing to see. Just have a go and you'll be amazed.

Definitely a realistic target! I've lost 2st 4lbs in 16 weeks so that averages out at 2lbs a week. Some weeks I have lost 3/4lbs a week but have also had one week where I maintained. I absolutely love the SW plan. :-)
