What is Miss Slinky?

My consultant hinted today that she wants to nominate me for Miss Slinky in group next week, I've no idea what it is.
I also thought you had to be at target before you get put for stuff like that? I'm still 1 stone 9 1/2 lbs away from target, so confused as to why in getting nominated. Do I have to dress up in group? I'm quite shy aswell

Miss Slinky is just a competition where the members vote for someone who they are impressed/inspired by. There are lots of competitions throughout the year such as Man/Woman of the Year and one for young members. Some of the competitions have an eventual national winner.
In our group the nominated people get a certificate as well as the class winner. They all stood at the front for about 2 minutes before getting a clap.
I think it's just a way to jazz up the classes and give a structure to the weeks.
