ds used to settle pretty well, a couple of stories, kiss from me, then from dh then off to sleep. in the last couple of weeks he´s started this really ANNOYING habit of lying in bed chanting a litany of complaints ´i´m thirsty i´m thirsty i´m thirst i´m hungry i´m hungry my eye hurts i´m hot i´m hot i´m hot" etc. It is really hard to keep my cool. we always make sure he has plenty to drink and eat before bed, goes to the loo etc and is clearly told it is bedtime, does he have everything he needs etc?

OMG he is STILL going now (9pm here). he doesn´t get up, just lies there repeating over and over and over.

Do we just have to ignore ignore ignore until he gets over this phase? (i suspect so..)

6yo DS has been doing this for years...
Sorry, I know you didn't want to hear that.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! wrong answer! WRONG ANSWER!

(he´s still going - still ´i´m hot´ even though he is only wearing a tee shirt and kicked his blankets off somewhere around ´my bottom hurts´)

I have today ordered blackout curtains in desperation, we had some before but got damaged years ago, should have replaced long ago, I suspect.

What sort did you get? My almost 3yo DS has also strated kicking up a fuss properly at bedtimes, having always beena good sleeper. Maveta, does your DS still have an afternoon nap? I'm wondering if that is why my DS is now wanting to stay up later and later. Should I cut his afternoon sleep?
