It was around 4 months that my DS started to sleep longer during the day. I think the general rule for total daytime sleep is around 3 hours. As long as they are not having longer than this and it is not too close to bedtime then it should not impact upon their sleep at night. Generally for my DS is seemed that sleep begets sleep. There is also lots of developmental stuff going on around 4 months which will affect any routines you have managed to develop! Enjoy it!

Brilliant! When mine was 4mo he would occasionally get almost 5hrs daytime sleep, and he STILL slept 7pm - 7am!

I think they stockpile sleep sometimes
