From co-sleeping to cot - nighttimes or nap times first?

I co-sleep with 10wk old DS, but he's a very light sleeper and I'm sure that being near me causes him to wake during the night - currently every 1.5 hours [absolutely knackered emoticon], he has a short feed and drops off again. He naps in our bed as well, and usually only manages 45mins a time during the day.

So, I was thinking about moving him to his cot and have been getting him used to his own room by feeding him in there and just laying him in the cot afterwards for a while so he gets used to it.

Once I've done that for a few more weeks, gradually building up the time spent in his room, then I want to try to put him for sleeps in there, but would you try nap times or main night time sleep first? Night time might be a bit trickier as he's fed to sleep, but naps he goes down sort of awake and we shh/pat him to sleep.

thanks in advance for any suggestions / success stories!
