Previous brilliant sleeper suddenly a nightmare <yawn>

DD is 9 months, and 5 nights ago had a bit of a temperature during the night and was awake/restless until 4am when I brought her into bed with me. Seemed fine the next day, a bit sleepy but I put it down to her not getting her usual 10-11 hours the night before.

Since then, she has been a nightmare to get to sleep. She is tired, will fall asleep easily enough, but 10 minutes after she is asleep she half wakes up, whinges, spits out her dummy, kicks about, refuses dummy for a few minutes by spitting it out the minute it is put back in, and then goes back off for another 10 minutes before it is all repeated again. It's only really an issue at night too. A little more restless than usual during her afternoon sleep but nothing major.

She has been teething for the past 4 months... no teeth yet. No amount of teething gel, Ashtons, Nurofen will help her during the night. She'll finally fall asleep properly sometime after 4am.

I'm bloody knackered, it's such a shock to the system after having her sleep perfectly through the night since 3 months. I'm also back at work now, so I need the night times to be able to catch up with things around the house that I can't during the day. Instead I'm having to lie in bed all night with her as soon as I'm home from work, not even getting the chance to eat dinner or just have some quiet time.

Sorry this is a bit of a self indulgent whinge and nothing compared to other sleep problems people have, but does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
