Since my DD2 was ill a couple of weeks ago it has been a nightmare to get her to sleep at night, before that we just left her to go to sleep on her own or a little rub of the back or a song....now it's 10 oclock and she is still crying....normally she drops off at around 8-8.30pm but now for the last 2 weeks she just dosnt want to go to bed...alsonap times I didnt have a problem putting her down but now I have to push her around in the pram fear of being there for a while with crying ect....
She usually sleeps 2 hours sometimes more sometimes less....Do you think she dosnt need a nap anymore?
Help.

What times does she have her nap? Maybe there isn't long enough between her nap and bedtime. If so then try waking her up after an hour or getting her to sleep earlier in the afternoon.

To be honest I would lie with her until she went to sleep, she has probably made herself go overtired now and needs help getting to sleep, that and being out of her routine.

It's hard getting them back into a routine after an illness. My DS 19mths has never gone to sleep by himself, he sleeps in our bed. I lie with him until he goes to sleep. (I don't think babies/toddlers should sleep on their own but that is my personal view, I know it's not everyone's) so I can't really advise you as it may not work for you.

She may be ready to drop her nap. Have you tried it?
