What tog duvet for toddlers?

Just moved dd1 from a grobag to a duvet, but wondering what tog was appropriate for a toddler? Grobags were 1 or 2.5 togs, but am I right in thinking they are this low because they are sleeping bags, so you don't need as high a tog?

We've used a 4.5tog summer duvet for her, which she seems to be ok with, but just wondering what others do? I.e. Is it the same as adults, with a 9 tog for colder (or more), or do toddlers need a lower tog in general for some reason?

the maximum recommended tog for a cot bed is 4.5 tog and the maximum for a full size single is 10.5tog (for children). My 2 lo's have 4.5 tog for summer and 10.5 tog for winter as they are both in single beds.

my dd has a 4.5 all year round, as do we. in the winter, she has a hot water bottle if it is really chilly but we all find 10 togs too hot.

Cheers ladies, I can stop worrying about her getting too cold then, she's in a cot bed btw. Guessing I might need to find something lighter still for summer then, gargh, never seen a duvet less than 4.5!

she can always kick the covers off if she is too hot or you can put less clothing on - dd and ds are in short sleeved/legged pj's tonight as it is warmer

Out of interest, where do you buy your duvets from? DS is in a cot bed and we're thinking about moving to duvet/pillow, and changing it to a bed, sometime soon?

argos or the supermarkets have good deals on duvets
