How do you sleep well?

I cannot sleep well when dh works away and if I do get off to sleep I'm waking up every hour or if I hear a slight noise that unerves me.

In our old house before dd was born I used to sleep on the sofa downstairs with the tv on but now I need my bed and I need my sleep!

What can I do?

DH doesn't work away, but works permanent night- I get so scared! Phone by bed, checking every lock. DS wanders in night due to SN, and I am forever checking where he is incase of a fire.

My Mum has been in my position for 30 years now, she likes it though- says she got used to it. So there is hope for me!

lol!

Cutekids, thats what I do. Go to bed really late in the hope I just sleep right through and then when dd wakes up at 7, cry my eyes out cos I've had no sleep!

Yep I do that too , only I have to be up every two hours for ds1- really, really stupid as I end up being tired and moody next day. but I genuinely HATE going to bed on my own. I shouldn't, I am a grown woman etc etc, but I do.

I'm still up, lol!

Will just have to shut my eyes and think about my shopping trip tomorrow
