What do you think of memory foam mattress toppers?

Memory foam normally gives me the heebie jeebies, but I am sleeping so badly at the moment. Partly just because I am pg and partly because I am uncomfortable. I feel all squashed up on my side, and I have done something to my neck which is giving me constant headaches. I've tried various pillow levels which haven't helped so I am wondering if a memory foam mattress toppper might help?

Will I get completely stuck in it when I am heavily pg? How much should I be looking to spend for a good one? (I don't have much money but the osteopath is costing me £40 a go!).

Are there any companies who offer money back guarantees?

I've never used a matress topper but I did stay in a holiday cottage with a memory foam matress on the bed and I can't begin to describe how wonderful it was. I was always much more rested when I woke up & I'd definitely buy a matress myself if I had the cash to spare.

Life after pregnancy is less achey, but I do still get back / shoulder / neck ache from lugging a heavy baby around, so I'd treat it as a long term investment.

I have a memory foam topper and it cost £99. I love it. It makees going to bed so much more enjoyable and i sleep so much better. Im also preg with twins and i dont get stuck.

Where did you get it from starshaker?

DH not convinced, especially if we can't try it out.

Would a goose down topper have a similar effect without the heebie jeebieness?
