me sleeping with a mussie to make it smell like me and then putting it in his cot.

putting him down and then not letting go. for at least 10 minutes, bent double over the moses basket.

makes perfect sense!

looking at and away from DD1 in a pattern when she having last feed. I was convinced if I looked away in the right order she'd fall asleep In my defence DD1 was a diabolical sleeper.

This time cosleeping full time with DD2 (4 weeks). So far much easier!

We frequently have "see who gets to sleep first" competitions in this house. First one to sleep gets a prize....

CharCharGabor, that sounds very familiar! I remember cursing the silly co-sleeping arrangement with chairs alongside the bed which meant that there wasn't much space left for me to manoeuvre around the moses basket. Worked a treat, mind.

I have to admit to turning off the baby monitor in the hope that stopping the grizzling would make him go to sleep. Of course, I'd temporarily forgotten that it wasn't actually turning DS off!
