erm...sleep on the mattress on the floor??

Sorry rickman, flippant I know. Haven't done this myself so no useful advice.

They do this at that age, no idea why though! DS1 still does it at 5! Co-slept with all of mine for varying amounts of time (Until they got to the pillow nicking / spreadeagled stage). Apart from putting abes in the middle if you have a partner, rolling the duvet edge up to form a barrier or putting a mattress under where they land (what we did), don't quite know what to suggest?

Hate to tell you this DS1 and DS2 still do this at 4 and 5! Why, do you think? Can't they just sleep in one place? DS2 is the worst, gets everywhere in his sleep!

My dd was frequently found asleep on the floor where she had fallen to used to panic every morning.

One occasions she slid down between the head end of the be and the wall head first ( no headboard at the time)

She survived! and stopped doing after a few months!

can you not wedge one side of the bed against the wall, the head against another wall and you sleep down the middle?

It was when mine started doing this that they were banished to their own cot I'm afraid to say, DD is in a travel cot by the side of my bed. You don't have to put a mattress down though, a folded up quilt or blanket on the floor around the bed is soft enough, and you can roll up a blanket or towel and wedge it in the gap between your bed and the bedside table to stop DS sliding down there. It worked with DS2 when we moved him into the bottom bunk, I was worried about him being in a big bed as he was only 18 mths, but it worked!

Pog is doing the same kind of thing - we co-sleep half the night with a cot at the side for naps and when he first goes to bed.
I have found that he can't climb up piles of cushions and duvets that well, could you try building a kind of soft wall around where you sleep? He might escape, but by the time he has climbed over he will probably have woken you up.

we have a bedside cot with one side off that 10 month ds can crawl in and out of, starts off the night there, and then climbs in with us to breast feed [i do worry about his teeth] and sleeps mostly with us. If he does roll off the bed he rolls into his cot and seems fine. I have a pillow on the floorat the bottom of the bed and that seems to solve it...
