When do baby's go to one nap a day?

DD is coming up to 1, and until now she's napped like clockwork, but now I think she's up for dropping down to one a day. I thought this wouldn't happen for a few months...

So she gets up at 7, and would normally have 2 hours of napping at 10, then another half hour around 3.

This week, she's been fighting to stay awake all morning, then I've put her down for a nap from 12 til 2.

It's worked well, and she goes off to bed at 7 as usual, but I was just wondering what other people's experiences are.

I realise I may have been keeping her in a newborn routine up until now! Thank you.

They're all different, nad if the 12-2 nap seems to make her happy then go with it.

Ds2 is 16 months and has just gone to 1 nap per day but he gets up stupidly early most of the time .

I think Ds1 was a bit younger, 14 mths or something, but it's irrelevent really. Do what suits your DD

DD went down to one nap at 11 months and tbh was only having half an hour naps anyway. At 13 months she dropped all naps. Sleep was for the weak apparently.

My 14mo still has two naps most days.Occasionally if he has slept well in the night he just has one lunchtime nap. But most nights he wakes several times and starts the day early then he has a late morning one and an afternoon one.

My DD1 dropped her morning nap at just over a year and then slept much better over lunchtime. She was a light sleeper up til then, but after no morning nap I could carry her upstairs from the buggy asleep and pop her into bed. it was great!

I'm in the same position, and I'm surprised as my DTs kept 3 naps for a long time (about 9m) but now at almost 11m seem to be dropping to 1 nap. Their naps have been all over the place for the last week or so, sometimes very early, sometimes very late and the last 2 days a much longer nap (1.5 - 2hrs) in the morning (10.30ish) and no afternoon nap at all. Absolutely knackered at teatime though!

My son went to one nap around 16 months. It was a gradual weaning process. Here's a list of some averages etc.

They are all different. Both of mine were around 17 months! I read this the other day which was useful:
