Is it ok for a nearly 9mth old to sleep on their front?

DS2 has just started to do this and I've been turning him back over onto his side or back. Would you bother? He is nearly 9 months now, do you think I should just leave him on his front if that is how he is more comfortable?

Can he turn himself? Tbh I was happy for mine to sleep whatever by that age but I was happy they were strong enough to lift themselves up/away etc (both were crawling circa 6mths)

Ds is a front/side sleeper (and has been from tiny...), on front, bum in air - so cute

as long as he can hold his head up he will be fine, both of mine prefer to sleep on their front.

If he can turn back by himself he should be fine, unless he has some specific health problems which would put him at risk.

He is quite strong, can crawl well, turn over etc. I still put him to sleep on his back but he keeps rolling over on to his front. I think I will leave him rather than disturb him.

Thanks for the replys.
