I'm 30 weeks and struggling to sleep, should I be listening to all the books/advice saying you shouldnt sleep on your back?
Have got a Dream Genie pillow but that seems to make it worse, ok if you sleep alone and have the space to wriggle around but its tying me up in the duvet and waking me up.....
Any suggestions?

Congrats on the pregnancy!

My midwife said not to worry about sleeping positions although I tried sleeping on my back and found it weird. Maybe you could prob yourself up with pillows so you're not flat?

By the end I was massive and the only way I got comfy was experimenting with loads of pillows - I think I had 4/5 in the end! So maybe try that? I also took loads of catnaps especially once I'd finished work which really helped.

Try lying on your side with a pillow between your legs. worked for me. I didn't like to sleep on my back either, was too scared I'd kill myself and the baby with all the artery crushing business- but I'd be always waking up on my back! Best of luck, it'll be over soon and they're much better out than in!
