DS wakes between 5.15-5.30am most days. Last week I had (very limited) success with waking him at 4.15am one night. He then slept until 6.30am.
However, the following morning I did the same, and he woke at 4.30am. Argh!
I didn't persevere for another night as the following day we moved him from a cot into a single bed, and I felt we needed to give it a little time to settle (and wishfully think the bed might be the key).
He's been in his new bed since Saturday. Sunday morning he slept through and woke at 5.38am. Monday morning until 5.52am. Seemed like progress, but then he was awake from 2.30-4am on Tuesday morning, finally getting up at 7.40am (but was vile all day yesterday) and last night he woke at 10.30pm, 2.30am (he had falled out of bed), and was up this morning at 5.30am.
So I guess my question is how do I assess when to wake him? And do I change tack if he's already woken in the night? Is it even worth bothering with until he's back in a consistent pattern?
I need help!
