Ok our little devil has been a very good sleeper, 5 out of 7 he will sleep from 7 till 8 the next morning. have just moved him from cot to bed and with me,Daddy, he will sleep and if he does wake will calm down and drop off again quckly. However when Mummy is home, she has to stay out 2 or 3 nights a week, he will not go down unless she is lying hext to him on a mattress. If he wakes and Daddy goes in well its screaming abdabs till mummy comes in then all is well. Anyone got any ideas as it causing us lots of grief especially as we are trying for another and we don't get any time.

Thanks

I'm not an expert but maybe he gets unsettled by your absences and when you are there he finds it comforting to have you near him? Doesn't want Daddy needs mummy, as he's missed you/ needs you? Sort of thing

It's clearly not ideal though, as if my DD aged 2 and a half did the same, I find it quite tricky...

Is he good at talking? Can you reason with him, do star charts or something?
