Santa took the dummy and now she won't sleep

My little one is 3 and gave her dummy up to Santa at Christmas.
She was fine the first night but since then will not go to sleep for a couple of hours after going to bed.
She has always been a good sleeper, going down at 7.30 and up at 8 but now isn't going to sleep until 9p.m.
She has a bunny as comfort that she has had since birth.
I've tried talking to her, sticker chart etc but nothing is working.
She is totally shattered at the end of each day but will just not give in.
It is also preventing me from going out as much as I would prefer her to be asleep before I go out.
Anyone with any ideas?

Hi, my DD gave her dummy to Santa on her 3rd birthday which was at the beginning of December with the promise that Santa would bring lots of presents! (DD now 9 by the way!) she put it in an envelope and we addressed it to santa (aka my friend) and then we went to the post office and SHE posted it. We were lucky and had no problems as she accepted it. Perhaps she could do with something to take her mind of it, perhaps making a fuss of her now she is "a big girl" and letting her have a lava lamp, both my DD's love watching them in the dark, it makes them sleepy very quickly and once they are gone I sneak in and turn them off.
