My DD2 is 16 wk and up to 5 days ago she was having 3 naps during the day, 45 min in the morning, 2 hrs early afternoon and 45 min late afternoon, she never slept longer than 45 min in her cot and the early afternoon nap always took place in the sling as it seemed to be the only way to keep her asleep for that long. 5 days ago she started waking up from her naps just after 20 min, even in the sling crying until I get her out of it. What is going on? Today for example she only slept a total of 1 hr , why is this happening? She normally sleeps at night from 7pm to 7am with one or two feeds in between. Thanks!

Could it be teething? My dd is 4 1/2 months old and has been sleeping less due to teething

I thought about teething, but wouldn't this also affect her sleep during the night? I hope this is going to pass soon as I find it impossible to get anything done if she is awake nearly all day.....

My son survived on 3 20-30 min naps til he was nearly 7 mths, as soon as he became a bit more active he started to sleep more in the afternoons. All we did was put him to bed a bit early to make sure that he got enough sleep - other than that if shes not cranky shes fine... unfortunately for the parents some babies seem to be able to manage just fine on very little sleep...
