Trying to get ds to sleep through as going back to work soon and feel shattered alot of the time. He's 7
mo...

He Generally wakes around 10.30 for dream feed and then a couple if times in the night briefly, at which point he occasionally, puts himself back to sleep and sometimes just wakes for a screamathon... And then he wakes up between 5.30 and 7.

So I'm thinking of dropping the dreamfeed now he's on three meals a day, and trying CC. Is this too much in one go?? Will we fail completely?

Will he be going to nursery whilst you work? My DS still woke at least once, sometimes twice at night until I started him at nursery. He was then so tired from a long day being busy that he slept through and has ever since!

They often nap less at nursery than at home(both mine have)so you might find it resolves anyway. I think it is because there is so much more stimulation than at home (Guess he didn't find homes under the hammer as interesting as I did ) and also there is so much to do, in a new environment, that they are too busy to sleep.

If you are uncertain about CC them maybe just wait and see what happens?

Good luck!

No he won't be going to nursery, he's having a nanny... But I do see your point...

I guess my question is... Is a dreamfeed incompatible with controlled crying? Will it work? Ready to give up dreamfeed but not sure DS is that is the problem..
