Its driving me mad.

This has been over the last 3 weeks.
.
He is up and down the stairs till 10/11 at night after going to bed at 7pm,
The other night he was downstars watching Polar express at 3am.....did not go back to sleep at all that night, i took him up but could hear him pottering in his room.

Each morning he is up between 5.30-6am.

Whats going on and what shall i do?

No advice but sympathies. Sounds horrendous. DD is 6 and doesnt need a lot of sleep. She tends to go to sleep around 9ish and is up at 7-7.30 in the morning.

Is he excited about Santa coming?

Personally I wouldn't allow him to get up and down after bedtime. Punish him.

With what?
I have talked to him, negotiated with him, shouted at him, bansheed at him.

the old stair gate used to work well.....but that is truly beyond him now!!!!

by removing priviliges such as computer/Tv time.

ie "Ds, if you come down those stairs one more time without blood or vomit in your hand, you will not play with the ds/wii/playstation/have TV tomorrow. At all. ANd if you do it again, you will have no TV etc for the day AFTER tomorrow too."

A chart with pictures of Tv's on works - put a black mark through a Tv picture every time he misbehaves.

I agree about being stricter with him. Each time he comes out of his room march him back in and tell him he is not allowed out.

Ahhh we dont have ds/wii/playstation, we dont own anything like that!

However......he is a fan of Spongebob on telly, i could threaten him wit that.

chart sounds good as well..

Put a favourite toy away, such as lego/K'nex?

sunburntats · 20/12/2009 12:45

Spongebob would be disasterous for him, you just have to find their currency dont you!

Im no push over with him normally, but as this is new, its thrown me!
