DS all of a sudden waking up numerous times in the evening

DS 5 months has never been a great sleeper day or night but from 6.30pm to 10.30pm he always slept brilliantly. Up until 2 weeks ago he'd been waking up 4 - 6 times a night but now amazingly and thankfully sleeps through.
So since then I've been having more problems with his day sleeps but the major problem is that he is now waking at least 4 times between 6.30pm and when we wake him at 10.30pm.
Tonight has been particularity bad..he settled himself (doesn't happen often) then woke up an hour later. So I tried rocking, shushing and feeding..he fell asleep but as soon as I put him in the cot he woke up and so 45 mins later he is still awake. I've now put him in his vibrating chair and managed to get him to sleep..obviously not ideal!

So does anyone have advice or any idea why this could be happening?

Thanks!

maybe he is hungry

I offered him a feed and he fell asleep within 2 minutes..

Could he be cold?

Could be. I do have the heating on tho and he has a long sleeved body suit with a Pyjama top on plus his sleeping bag. Maybe I should put some PJ bottoms on too?

I just wondered because he's going to sleep quickly again when you've cuddled/fed him. Could be worth a go and just keeping an eye on him to check he doesn't get too hot?

You could also try pre-warming his cot with a hot water bottle.

But I think sometimes the little angels just do these things to mess with us.

Sorry, not that much help!

I'll give it a go and see if that helps.
He finally starts sleeping through the night now he's waking in the evening..if it's not one thing it's another!

Thanks for the help!
