He is 7 weeks and going through that phase of only sleeping whilst being bf/held or in the car/pram.

As soon as I put him down he wakes. Or a few minutes later if not as soon as.

He doesn't do this at night btw.

So in the day he has fallen into a little rhythm of sleeping on the way to collect dd at 11.30. Then when we get home he stays asleep whilst I make lunch for dd and I and eat it, then squeeze in some house jobs, like washing, dishwasher etc. Sometimes it's a few hours but thats only a few out of 24 in the day...{hopeful}

Please tell me this isn't a terrible thing to do and that he won't be badly affected by it.

DD loves her carseat and will sleep for up to 3 hours in it

i don't think long term there is any issue as it isn't 24/7

babies should be flat as possible to help their spinal development but i wouldn't panic especially as he is sleeping in his basket/cot in the night

No, I'm not soupdragon or mum23smalldragons ... my DS was going through a phase of loving dragons when I joined MN years ago and I never imagined there'd be several of us on here!

My DD (aged 3) would LOVE your name!

princessmel · 17/12/2009 18:27

I picked my name as we call dd princess , simples!
