Ok, I'm struggling now! DD was 3 months premature, so is little for her age. This means that she's now 7 1/2 months old and we're just moving her out of her Moses basket. She's had so long in there, she tends to sleep with her hands on the sides of the basket. This is now a problem as we're trying to move her out of basket into a cot.
We've put the basket in the cot for a few days and she's been fine with that, but putting her into the cot itself now is being a nightmare as she can't rest her hands on the sides. I've put a rolled blanket under the sheet on one side of her so she's got one cotside and the blanket, but she knows it's not right. She's got her comforter teddies that were in the MB with her.
I tend to cuddle her nearly to sleep and then put her down (something that I'd prefer to change so she's a lot better about going down on her own) and with the Moses basket she'd just settle straight away. At the moment it's taking up to an hour to get her to settle for a half-hour nap! This includes cuddling to sleep, feeding to sleep, leaving to cry, sitting next to her and shushing, everything I can think of! Haven't yet tried her overnight, but tonight's the night.
Any ideas for what I can do?!
