Grobags - safe for 9mo to sleep on front in one?

Just looking for reassurance really, is it okay for a 9mo to sleep on her front whilst in a grobag? Or do I try and roll a sleeping child over and risk waking her up?

I have always presumed it was fine! I think the official advice is to put them down on their back but once they can roll themselves back and forth, not to worry about what position they end up in.

Both mine have slept on front in their grobags.

When DS was 9 months old, he slept in a grobag and frequently slept on his front

It's fine. Sleeping on their back is only relevant before they can roll. And a grobag is probably as safe as it gets.

sorry, pressed post too soon. Should have read

"Both mine have slept on front in their grobags at 9 months".

Obviously I didn't put them down on their fronts when tiny.

Phew! Thanks, I shall let her sleep in peace!

My DD has slept on her front in a grobag since she was 6mths, now nearly 9mth. I always put her on her back and she mostly sleeps on her front; but it doesn't seem to stop her movement, she spins over and back, turns round 180 to the other end and stands up. I guess i'm saying i don't think it restricts there movement as much as you imagine.
