Is it safe to leave a 3 year old and a 9 month old asleep in the same bed for a few hours?

The monitor is on and I am checking regularly.

I was settling dd1 for the night and dd2 woke up so I put her in bed with us. She fell asleep and I don't want to move her.

DD1 is a fairly small 3 year old. She couldn't crush her little sister without me hearing something first could she?

DD2 is safe - can't roll off bed or anything. Just not sure about her being in bed with a bigger child.

She co-sleeps with me so is used to being in bed.

I did at this age and slightly younger, from the age i knew that the younger one would kick up a fuss if squashed in any way
