8.30 am and still asleep!

My DD is still asleep at almost 8.30. She went to bed at 7.30 last night and didn't wake in the night at all...

I am quite frankly shocked as she has been very clingy lately and waking at night has meant a half hour to an hour of backwards and forwards settling.

Can I look forward to a lot more lie-ins in future or is she just catching up?

She has never been a great sleeper - only just sleeping through at 12 mths.

I hate to say it, but IME she is probably just catching up!

I thought so too but usually she is like clockwork even if she goes back to sleep an hour after waking up nothing will stop her from waking up at 6 and wanting to be picked up.

Still asleep though - I have to keep going to check on her...

Getting to that awkward stage now when if she wakes up she will be niggly for her swimming lesson.
