16 week old suddenly waking up a lot at night

I'm hoping someone has some words of wisdom. DD is 16 weeks, and from about 6/8 weeks was good sleeper at night, only woke when hungry, went to sleep easily. But the last 2 nights, she's woken up 4 times during the night. It's not always hunger, I can give her a dummy and she's back asleep within a minute, if she's not back asleep quickly then I give her food. She's FF, so there is that little window while I'm sorting out the bottlefor her to drop off again.

Last night at 9.30pm she was crying/ screaming in her sleep. Clearly still asleep but very upset. At 1.30am she woke up whining, but settled again quickly with a dummy, at 3.30am, did not settle, so had a feed. 5.30am woke up whining, but back to sleep quickly. It's now 8.30am, I've been up an hour and a half, DD has had a feed, she didn't each much, but that's not unusual for the first feed of the day. She's now playing, and hopefully will want a nap soon.

She's got some nasal congestion, been using saline drops, but am going to get a plug in vapouriser thing to see if that helps. She's also had a touch of D&V for the last 2 days. And I think these disturbed nights and lack of long daytime naps are making her a grumpy little thing. I'm not sure if she's teething or not.

Any advice as I need some sleep, it's like being back in the newborn days.

i always thought if in doubt rule it out trya bit of bonjela if still disturbed try bit calpol if still disturbed bit of gripe water

its difficult at this age to know whats wrong but illness always unsettles my ds nights even now and his 4

raise head of cot either with pillow under mattress or books under legs of cot this will help clear air ways so should aid more restful sleep

sit in steamed bathroom before bed to clear some congestion you can get some baby vicks

hope she feels better soon and settles again after illness can take my ds a week or so to get back to original routine

but also i found at the baby stage the routine had to be tweaked and adapted several times as he got older what worked once didnt work so bedtime and feed times changed if really tired we did routine hour early if not so tired we did hour later with a dream feed when we went to bed to keep him asleep

Sounds pretty fair for her to wake up like that when sick. It's also a classic growth spurt age.
